Joe Biden’s predictions for this winter might make for a great Hollywood movie script, but they have little to do with reality.
The Covid-19 virus appears to be following in the steps of other major viruses, including the Spanish Influenza, as it mutates into a nearly harmless cold.
But we may still face a “dark winter” as leftists continue to exert more control with increasingly illogical arguments.
“We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated – for themselves, their families and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm,” Biden said recently.
Yet, he has literally nothing to hang that argument on.
As a remarkably mild variant, we have zero idea how many people in the United States have contracted it because most probably aren’t sick enough to even bother getting tested.
But we do know since Omicron was first detected in the US on December 1, we’ve yet to experience a single death from the variant.
That might not seem significant, until you realized exactly how many people die on a daily basis in a country with more than 333 million people.
On an average day, about 10 people die from choking, 32 die from falling down the stairs, and 105 die in car accidents.
Those stats are nothing compared to heart disease which claims about 1,805 lives per day and cancer with 1,642 deaths per day.
In fact, it seems most of the danger and drama surrounding Omicron is likely more wishful thinking on the part of Democrats, rather than an actual problem.
And their need to amp up the drama—and control our entire population’s every move—is suppressing information indicating Covid-19 might be taking itself out naturally.
A Healthline article hesitantly hinted at that possibility in a recent article, quoting a professor of medicine from Case Western Reserve University.
“If you think about the way viruses behave, biologically, their reason for living is to replicate and spread, and there’s really no advantage for the virus to kill the host,” Dr. Keith Armitage said.
Not only does that make sense, it’s exactly what happened when the deadly Spanish Influenza mutated into a fairly harmless bug that continues to float around from person to person in some form.
The most pressing question we face as a society now is whether US voters will choose to force the Democrat Party to mutate into something less harmful.
