Donald Trump’s three appointments to the Supreme Court were expected to hand conservatives a 6-3 majority.
But it didn’t turn out that way.
And you won’t believe what Donald Trump just revealed about Brett Kavanaugh.
In an interview with author Michael Wolff for his book, Landslide, Donald Trump took the gloves off when asked about Brett Kavanaugh’s performance on the Supreme Court.
“Where would he be without me? I saved his life. He wouldn’t even be in a law firm. Who would have had him? Nobody. Totally disgraced. Only I saved him,” Trump said of Kavanaugh.
How did Trump save Kavanaugh?
According to the book, Trump told Wolff that Republican Senators begged him to dump Kavanaugh the moment Christine Blasey Ford and Julie Swetnick came forward and falsely accused him of sexual assault and gang rape during his confirmation hearing.
“Practically every senator called me … and said, ‘Cut him loose, sir, cut him loose. He’s killing us, Kavanaugh.’ … I said, ‘I can’t do that,’” Trump added.
Trump admitted that he could have picked someone else, but that he fought for Kavanaugh instead.
“I had plenty of time to pick somebody else,” Trump explained. “I went through that thing and fought like hell for Kavanaugh — and I saved his life, and I saved his career. At great expense to myself … okay? I fought for that guy and kept him.”
Of course, there’s several reasons for Trump to be disappointed in Kavanaugh, particularly him dismissing challenges to the 2020 election.
But Trump told Wolff his main disappointment is how far Kavanaugh has gone since then to try to curry favor from the Left.
“I can’t even believe what’s happening. I’m very disappointed in Kavanaugh. I just told you something I haven’t told a lot of people. In retrospect, he just hasn’t had the courage you need to be a great justice. I’m basing this on more than just the election,” Trump concluded.
During the past term alone, Kavanaugh voted with the Left to maintain a 1990 precedent that allowed the government to discriminate against the free exercise of religion and he also voted with the left to uphold ObamaCare for a third time.
Instead of the fighter Trump thought he was getting, Kavanaugh turned out to be nothing more than a clone of Chief Justice John Roberts, who makes his decisions based on what the media elites will say about him.
