During a Senate hearing last week, Rand Paul ripped Dr. Anthony Fauci over the NIAID using taxpayer dollars to fund gain of function research at the Wuhan Lab.
Dr. Fauci spent the entire weekend working the talk shows in an attempt to save face from the verbal beatdown he took from Rand Paul during the Senate hearing.
But you won’t believe what Dr. Fauci admitted on live TV to CNN’s Jake Tapper.
On Sunday morning, Dr. Fauci appeared live on CNN for an interview with host Jake Tapper.
Tapper invited Fauci on to give him the floor to make up for his poor performance in front of the Senate Committee without Rand Paul present to point out his lies.
During last week’s hearing, Rand Paul accused Anthony Fauci of lying to Congress under oath by claiming that the NIH never funded gain of function research at the Wuhan Lab.
Paul’s assertion infuriated Anthony Fauci, who responded by yelling, “Senator Paul, you do not know what you are talking about quite frankly, and I want to say that officially. You do not know what you are talking about.”
On Sunday, Jake Tapper asked Fauci to clear up the record for his audience.
And Fauci responded by claiming it would be “negligent” to not use taxpayer dollars to fund gain of function research in China.
A surprised Tapper followed up by asking, “going forward . . . a peer review is doctors and scientists looking at the work of doctors and scientists without, kind of, factoring in the fact that you have an oppressive Chinese government that won’t allow transparency. Going forward, are you still confident?”
Fauci responded by saying, “going forward we’re going to be very, very careful” and then claimed, “we’ve always been very careful.”
Of course, most everyone knows that Communist China does not have America’s best interests at hand.
After all, the CCP covered up the origins of the initial outbreak and then refused to allow a real investigation into the origins of COVID-19.
But apparently, Dr. Fauci doesn’t care.
Which is why he continues to put his trust in Communist China.
