Donald Trump has functioned as the chief boogeyman for the radical Left for the past five years.
Most Democrats will say or do anything to try to defeat Trump.
But you won’t believe what one top Democrat just admitted about Donald Trump.
During the recent 2021 elections, Republicans won the governorship in Virginia for the first time since 2009 and Democrat Phil Murphy barely held on in New Jersey after winning by 14 points in 2017.
In both Virginia and New Jersey, the Democrats’ main talking point was calling the Republican candidates a clone of Donald Trump.
But with inflation rising to the highest rate in forty years, a record number of illegal aliens invading America, and murder records being set in 12 Democrat-run cities, the Democrats’ strategy didn’t work as voters judged Biden as a failure.
Nothing gets a Party’s attention faster than losing elections.
And at the Democratic Governors Association winter meeting, North Carolina Democrat Governor Roy Cooper, who is the newly-elected Chairman, admitted Democrats would dump the Trump-centric focus in the 2022 midterm elections.
“I just don’t think [Trump] needs to be the central focus,” Cooper stated.
“What you can do is continue to focus on your issues and [decide] if it’s worth reminding people how this candidate got elected, and what’s coming,” Cooper added. “Because our democracy is really at stake now.”
Democrats are defending the Governor’s Mansion in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
If Republicans win in these states, they could ban the types of illegal changes to mail-in voting that Democrats enacted during the 2020 elections.
This is a terrifying thought for Democrats.
And it helps explain why Party leaders are walking away from the losing strategy of lying about Donald Trump.
