America’s most liberal news network reveals a whole new level of cluelessness as it grasps to blame Donald Trump for all the country’s woes.
The network tried to pass off the hugest stretch possible under the guise of just “political analysis.”
And you won’t know whether to laugh or cry when you hear what Trump supposedly messed up.
A CNN politics article by Stephen Collinson opens up with one of the most convoluted sentences in the history of journalism:
“Donald Trump is tightening his malignant hold on American politics as Joe Biden battles to stabilize his own problem-plagued presidency by celebrating his massive infrastructure reform package—a political win his predecessor never managed.”
Apparently, Collinson’s version of “political analysis” involves tangling up a few simple facts and adding a dash of fiction for flavor.
It’s highly doubtful Donald Trump is super jealous that he never managed to break any records when it comes to blowing taxpayers money.
Moreover, throwing the words “Donald Trump” into a sentence is a coward’s way of detracting from an admission that Joe Biden’s Presidency is an absolute train wreck.
But the real jewel in this piece of so-called journalism is the first phrase in that opening line.
Unfortunately, we have to read another line of Collinson’s masterpiece to find out exactly how Trump is “tightening his malignant hold” on the country’s political system.
Of course, it turns out to be as delightfully illogical as the first line in the article:
“The corrosive and complicated impact of the 45th President’s poisoned legacy again threatens to blot out Biden’s efforts to look to the future on Monday, as Trump’s political guru Steve Bannon turned himself in at the FBI’s Washington field office after a federal grand jury indicted him last week for ignoring a subpoena from the House probe into Trump’s coup attempt.”
Seems like someone should tell Collinson that name calling like a first grader on the wrong side of a playground fight isn’t the best idea.
The only thing complicated about Trump’s legacy is that about half of all Americans wanted him to win rather than Biden.
And now that another election cycle has passed, we have positive proof that the current president has bungled his job so badly plenty of Democrats and Independents are jumping ship.
But admitting that would simply be too much for Democrats’ loyal mouthpieces at CNN.
So they blame Trump for raining on Biden’s celebratory parade—even if that involves something as random as criticizing Steve Bannon’s timing when it came to turning himself in (Pretty sure Bannon would have been willing to take one for the team and drop the whole case).
Meanwhile, CNN might want to invest some creative thinking into more convincing ways to blame all the problems in the world on Trump.
