Democrats are known as the Party of Big Government.
Their desire for control over the American people has been on full display during the pandemic.
But you’ll be horrified by how Democrats responded to this one poll about the COVID vaccine.
When Joe Biden attempted to impose an illegal and unconstitutional federal vaccine mandate on private employers, he proved that the Democrats have no problem forcing Americans to choose between their jobs and taking an experimental injection.
But a new Rasmussen poll shows that Democrats are willing to go much further than that to force Americans to get vaccinated.
According to the poll, 59 percent of Democrats believe unvaccinated Americans should be placed on house arrest and only allowed to leave their homes for emergencies.
Breitbart News reported, “‘Would you strongly favor, somewhat favor, somewhat oppose or strongly oppose a proposal to limit the spread of the coronavirus by having federal or state governments require that citizens remain confined to their homes at all times, except for emergencies, if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine?’ the survey asked.”’
“While 61 percent, overall, reject that scenario, the survey found 59 percent of Democrats favor the government requiring unvaccinated individuals to stay at home ‘at all times’ with exceptions only for emergencies. Of those, 35 percent of Democrats ‘strongly’ favor that proposal,” Breitbart News continued.
“Another 55 percent of Democrats said they favor the government fining unvaccinated Americans,” Breitbart News concluded, adding that “while 45 percent said they would favor a proposal to limit the spread of the coronavirus ‘by having federal or state governments require that citizens temporarily live in designated facilities or locations if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine.’”
But that wasn’t the only surprising development found in the poll.
Rasmussen also found that a plurality of Democrats favor fining or even locking up anyone who asks questions about the vaccine.
“Respondents were also asked if they support or oppose a proposal for federal or state governments ‘to fine or imprison individuals who publicly question the efficacy of the existing COVID-19 vaccines on social media, television, radio, or in online or digital publications,’” Breitbart News reported. “While the vast majority of Americans, 67 percent, said they opposed such a proposal, Democrats remain split, with 48 percent supporting fining vaccine critics and 46 opposing.”
Since suppressing free speech is one of the tenets of the Democrat Party, they support censoring any opinions, commentary, or views on social media that opposes or undercuts the Left’s radical agenda.
And wanting to toss Americans in jail for refusing to get vaccinated is only a natural outgrowth of the censorship crusade pushed by the Left and the corporate-controlled media.
