The search for a cure to end the ongoing public health crisis is in full force.
Each nation is taking the problem on in a different way.
But you’ll never guess who is taking on the Russians with this condemnation about their vaccine search.
Recently, the Russian President Vladmir Putin announced that Russia had successfully developed the world’s first vaccine for the virus ravaging the entire world.
Not only are they the first to announce a coronavirus vaccine, they are the first and only nation to have finished their trial period on test subjects.
Many scientists were already skeptical about President Donald Trump’s Operation Warp Speed timeline to bring a more-effective-than-not vaccine to the public by this year’s end.
So scientists and epidemiologists have met Russia’s announcement with a heavy dose of skepticism.
Including Dr. Fauci himself.
In an interview with National Geographic, Fauci questioned the Russians’ method in developing this “vaccine.”
“I hope that the Russians have actually definitively proven that the vaccine is safe and effective. “I seriously doubt that they’ve done that.”
For as much as the mainstream media wants to pit Dr. Fauci and President Trump’s administration against each other, Fauci also told National Geographic that the Trump admin simply won’t put the lives of Americans at risk to be the first ones out of the gate with a vaccine.
“So if we wanted to take the chance of hurting a lot of people or giving them something that doesn’t work, we could start doing this, you know, next week if we wanted to,” Fauci added. “But that’s not the way it works.”
On top of that, when Dr. Fauci appeared before Congress to answer legislator’s “concerns” about the coronavirus and its impact, Fauci on several occasions noted that the Trump administration’s actions and decisions saved lives.
When U.S. Representative Steve Scalise (R-LA) asked Dr. Fauci about whether he agreed with the Trump administration’s ban on travel to and from China back in January, Fauci had no problem saying he did.
And then when Scalise asked the follow-up question of whether Fauci believes that decision saved lives, Fauci was quick and emphatic to say that he does believe the decision saved lives.
At the very least, Americans can be sure that the Trump administration is working with all the top experts to safely bring treatment and a seemingly inevitable vaccine for the coronavirus to the market.
