CNN has made attacking Donald Trump a sport.
Hosts are always trying to one-up each other with their insanity.
And your jaw will hit the floor when you hear CNN’s most insane anti-Trump claim yet.
When Democrats ran their first sham impeachment trial against President Donald Trump, they thought they had it made when they brought out Retired Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman.
Vindman made insane claims about Trump relating to a phone call with Ukraine’s president while Vindman was on the National Security Council.
They tried to paint Vindman as a non-partisan witness.
But it was clear then that was not true, and it has become verifiably false in recent months since he became a regular fixture on fake news networks like CNN.
Vindman recently appeared on CNN’s New Day, where co-host Brianna Keilar helped him claim that Trump was responsible for the deaths of 600,000 Americans, left-wing riots, and America’s “slide towards authoritarianism.”
During the segment, he claims all of that happened because Trump was not convicted and removed from office following his first impeachment trial.
Keilar gave him the opportunity to make that insane claim by asking: “[Trump] was acquitted. He goes on to promote the big lie, January 6th, based on the big lie, happens. Do you think that that acquittal emboldened him to proceed as he did?”
Vindman began his answer, stating, “I do. I think he’s an individual that tests — that automatically tests boundaries and pushes as far as he can go. And the signals he received from his acquittal emboldened him going into management of the pandemic.”
He went on to claim that Trump “believed he could [move] about with impunity,” including “disregard[ing] all of the warning signs about an unfolding pandemic.”
The star impeachment witness claimed that “his mismanagement resulted in needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of people,” adding that everything bad that happened in 2020 would have been stopped if things went his way in the impeachment trial:
“If he had been removed, if he had been censured, if he was on his back heels, we would not have those kinds of casualties and wouldn’t have had a second impeachment and wouldn’t have riots in the streets that the president himself inflamed, we wouldn’t have an insurrection. That’s not just the failure of the president, that’s a failure of the people that enabled the president.”
As Vindman made that statement, CNN’s on-screen graphics flashed: “VINDMAN: 600,000 WOULD STILL BE ALIVE IF SENATE CONVICTED TRUMP.”
CNN truly believes that everything bad that happens is the fault of Trump and Trump supporters.
