GOP Donor Voiced Concern Over Trump Political Missiles Left Sitting on the Ship

Republicans built a 350 million dollar war chest to save the House majority.

Now the same donors who filled it are running out of patience.

One anonymous GOP donor compared the money to missiles left behind on a ship.

Republicans Warn The Cavalry Has Not Arrived

Politico reported that a group of Republican donors and strategists are growing anxious about President Trump's fundraising operation.

Their complaint is simple.

Republicans are defending narrow majorities in both the House and Senate this November, and every seat matters.

MAGA Inc has more than 350 million dollars sitting in the bank and almost none of it has reached candidates.

Republican strategist Matthew Bartlett told Politico, "We've been waiting for the cavalry."

Former Congressman Carlos Curbelo warned that Republicans cannot afford a repeat of 2018 without every available resource.

A separate Republican insider described as close to the White House admitted the concerns are well placed.

The Math Behind The Frustration

The numbers explain why patience is wearing thin.

Federal Election Commission filings show MAGA Inc has not spent directly on a single race since March.

That expenditure totaled 17,900 dollars for Georgia Representative Clay Fuller.

Since then the super PAC has sent just 560,000 dollars to MAGA KY for a primary fight against Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie.

Meanwhile the Republican National Committee is holding roughly 125 million dollars in cash on hand, its highest total ever.

That is nearly half a billion dollars sitting in Republican accounts while the campaign clock runs down.

Trump's Team Says The Plan Is Already In Motion

MAGA Inc spokesperson Alex Pfeiffer dismissed the anonymous complaints outright.

A senior White House official signaled there is no rush, noting the party does not need a final spending plan until after the nominating convention this September.

The RNC maintains its donor base remains fully behind the operation heading into the fall.

Republicans have been burned by slow money before, most recently in 2022 when hesitation early in the cycle let Democrats define several races before a dime of outside money arrived.

Rising gas prices and lingering unease over the Iran conflict have only made Republican donors more impatient to see a plan in writing.

Democrats cannot match this war chest and they know it.

The only real question is whether Trump pulls the trigger before November decides it for him.
