For four years the FBI told America Trump and his allies worked for Russia.
Newly declassified documents just revealed which Republicans the bureau branded as Russian mouthpieces instead.
And Jim Jordan's name sits right at the top of that list.
FBI Spreadsheet Branded Barr, Pompeo, Grassley, Johnson and Jordan as Russian Conduits
Jordan sat down on Sunday Morning Futures and walked through documents the White House Government Transparency Task Force just declassified.
The files expose two FBI operations most Americans have never heard of.
The first is March Toll, a criminal investigation opened against Attorney General Jeff Sessions the day after James Comey got fired.
Sessions had talked to the Russian ambassador twice during the 2016 campaign.
He told Congress those conversations never touched politics.
The FBI treated those two conversations as though they endangered national security.
Sessions resigned in disgrace in 2018 and lost his Senate comeback bid in 2020.
Mueller's own office closed March Toll without charges in May 2019, two months after the special counsel's office shut down.
A week after Comey got fired, FBI general counsel James Baker and counterintelligence chief Bill Priestap opened a second investigation, this one aimed straight at the president himself.
They called it Oxferd Comma, and it accused Trump of secretly working for Russia by firing his own FBI director.
That same day, acting Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein raised the idea of secretly recording the president using a hidden wire.
The entire basis was the debunked Steele dossier and memos a fired FBI director leaked to reporters to force a special counsel.
It worked, and Robert Mueller was appointed the very next day.
The second Trump era operation is worse.
It's called Round River, and it targeted the men trying to expose Hunter Biden.
A spreadsheet recovered from U.S. intelligence files sorts more than six dozen prominent Americans into two columns.
Bill Barr, Mike Pompeo, Grassley, Johnson, Graham, Nunes and Jordan land in the "conduits" column, marked as spreaders of Russian disinformation.
The Bidens, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Barack Obama and George Soros land in the other column, marked as the "targets" that disinformation was supposedly protecting.
Their supposed crime was investigating Hunter Biden's foreign business deals.
Patel's Letter Confirms 14 Informants Were Buried to Protect Biden
FBI Director Kash Patel just confirmed how far this went.
In a letter to the White House task force, Patel revealed the bureau identified 53 confidential human sources tied to Round River.
At least 14 of them were reporting derogatory information directly on the Bidens.
The FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force signed off on burying it anyway.
Instead of running down the leads, agents gave Grassley and Johnson a so called defensive briefing in August 2020 suggesting their Biden investigation was Russian disinformation.
Jordan got the same treatment and told Just the News exactly what he thought of it.
"That was BS," Jordan said.
He described Round River as an effort to help Joe Biden win the 2020 election by keeping congressional investigators quiet.
Patel says his bureau is now examining whether that task force used the Round River informant files to steer or block other investigations focused on the Bidens.
He disbanded the task force as soon as he became FBI director.
This Is the Same Playbook From Crossfire Hurricane
None of this should surprise anyone who watched the Russia collusion hoax unfold in real time.
The FBI opened Crossfire Hurricane against Trump's own campaign in July 2016 on a tip nobody bothered to verify.
Special Counsel John Durham later found the bureau's foundation for that investigation was seriously deficient.
Senator Ted Cruz told the Judiciary Committee that what the Obama administration did makes Nixon's own abuses of power look tame by comparison.
Round River is Crossfire Hurricane's mirror image – same bureau, same Russia label, just aimed at protecting Bidens instead of destroying Trump.
Jordan spent years asking whether the FBI was even investigating Hunter Biden while the bureau was quietly building a file calling him a Russian mouthpiece for asking.
That's not law enforcement.
That's a hit job with a badge.
What actually fires me up here is simple – the same bureau that spied on a sitting president over a debunked dossier turned around and used the exact same Russia label to protect the vice president's son from real evidence sitting on his own laptop.
Patel is promising accountability, and Jordan says he trusts Attorney General Todd Blanche to finish the job.
Americans should hold both of them to it, because right now nobody who ran Round River has spent a single day in a courtroom over any of it.
