Adam McKay made Anchorman, then spent a decade making political films to shame conservatives.
Now he's done with the people he was defending.
What he just said about Clinton, Obama, and Biden will end careers.
McKay Names Names and Pulls No Punches
He didn't speak in generalities.
He named names.
Bill Clinton is "a straight up serial rapist."
Hillary Clinton "literally funded Trump's campaign."
Joe Biden failed America as a lame duck president.
Barack Obama is a "creep" who has done "damage" to America.
And the foot soldiers who voted for all of them? "No group is worse than white liberals," McKay told the Urgent Futures podcast. "They are the grossest of the gross."
McKay walked away from the Democrat Party after Trump crushed Kamala Harris in 2024. He posted on X that it was "time to abandon the Dem Party" and floated joining the Green Party instead.
That was the warning shot.
This week's interview was the full broadside.
"It is incredible to watch people this far down the road still say you've got to stand behind the Democrat Party," McKay said. "The same party that wouldn't convict Trump of a crime after he told a crowd, go to the Capitol. The same party where the previous presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, literally funded Trump's campaign."
He called out the media apparatus propping the whole thing up – Vox, the New York Times, the Washington Post, MSNBC, CNN – describing them as "totally captured" companies running cover for a corrupt party.
He reserved special contempt for New York Times contributor Ezra Klein, labeling him a "bad faith operator."
The Left Is Eating Itself
Here's what makes this more than just one director venting.
McKay isn't some casual Democrat who drifted right.
He joined the Democratic Socialists of America in 2019. He campaigned for Bernie Sanders in 2016 and 2020. His film Don't Look Up was a two-hour climate lecture aimed at anyone who disagreed with his politics.
This man was all in.
And now he's calling Obama a creep and Bill Clinton a serial rapist on a podcast.
What McKay is describing has been building for decades. The Clintons moved the party toward wealthy donors and away from working people. Obama continued that drift while promising change. Biden's own party hid his cognitive decline from voters who deserved the truth.
McKay lived inside that world. He saw how it worked.
"When you talk to white moneyed liberals, they're getting a lot from this broken system," he said. "At some point, I realized these are bad faith arguments and conversations."
The man who spent a decade making political films to shame half of America just confirmed everything conservatives already knew about the Democrat machine.
Bill Clinton protected. Obama celebrated. Biden propped up past any point of viability.
A Hollywood insider said it out loud — and his own side has no answer for it.
