Kamala Harris told a national TV audience she'd been to the border.
She hadn't – and when NBC's Lester Holt corrected her on live television, she compared the US-Mexico border to Europe.
Bill O'Reilly just put four words to what every American already knew.
O'Reilly Said It in Four Words
Bill O'Reilly sat down with Carolla on The Adam Carolla Show Tuesday and the conversation turned, as it always does eventually, to Kamala Harris.
O'Reilly had been making the case that Biden and Gavin Newsom are skilled political chameleons – masters of the position flip when the wind shifts.
Carolla pushed back with the obvious question: doesn't Harris try the same thing?
"She's not smart enough," O'Reilly said.
That's the whole case right there.
O'Reilly didn't need a hundred words to explain four years of failure. He used four.
Carolla ran with it. Pick any position Harris held in 2019 – fracking, transgender medical procedures for illegal immigrants in prison – and she'd abandoned it by 2024.
"To flip-flop, it takes a very skilled hand to pull that off," Carolla said. "And she's just not skilled enough to do that."
The Clip That Never Gets Old
Carolla then went back to the moment that defined the entire Biden-Harris border disaster – the June 2021 Lester Holt interview.
Harris was sitting in Guatemala, where she'd traveled to address the "root causes" of the border crisis, when Holt asked the obvious question: why haven't you gone to the border?
"We've been to the border," Harris said. Then again. "We've been to the border. We've been to the border."
Holt cut her off. "You haven't been to the border."
Harris didn't miss a beat. "And I haven't been to Europe."
The audience watching at home saw the face of the woman in charge of the southern border – and she didn't understand why being at the border mattered.
"You're the border czar," Carolla said Tuesday. "He's asking if you've been to the border that you're the czar of. Why is that a confusing question for you?"
He answered his own question. "She's stupid. I agree."
10 Million Reasons They're Right
This isn't just comedy. The numbers back up every word.
Under Harris' watch as Biden's designated point person on the border crisis, Customs and Border Protection recorded more than 10 million illegal immigrant encounters – the worst in American history.
Former Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan called it "the worst, unmitigated border security crisis in our lifetime."
Biden handed her the assignment in March 2021. She didn't set foot near the border for 93 days. When she finally went, she landed in El Paso – 800 miles from the lower Rio Grande, where the real crisis was burning.
She lost all seven swing states in November 2024. The border is the reason most of them flipped.
They Said It Out Loud
Here's what O'Reilly and Carolla actually did on Tuesday that most commentators won't.
They said it plainly. No hedging. No diplomatic cushion.
The woman who was handed responsibility for the worst border crisis in American history – who stood in Guatemala and told a national television audience she couldn't understand why visiting the border mattered – wasn't a victim of bad circumstances or tough politics.
She wasn't up to the job.
Democrats spent four years insisting any criticism of Harris was motivated by something other than her record. O'Reilly and Carolla aren't playing that game.
The border is 800 miles from El Paso. Europe is across an ocean. The fact that she couldn't tell the difference between those two things – live, on NBC, in an interview with Holt – tells you everything you need to know about why Trump won and she didn't.
