The Chicken chain many leftists love to hate looks set to shake up the fast-food industry again
Chick-fil-A’s chicken and special sauce is so popular it’s common to see huge lines of cars waiting to place their orders.
And the company’s strong Christian beliefs make it a favorite for customers on the Right.
But out-of-left-field, Chick-fil-A is considering adding a surprising American staple to its menu that could help expand their empire.
Chick-fil-A remains innovative to stay on top
The American Left hates Chick-fil-A.
Not because of portion sizes or food quality – but because the company was founded by a Christian who instilled Christian values into his business.
That’s why they’re not open on Sundays.
But the zealots who oppose the fast-food chain famous for its chicken sandwiches aren’t hurting the company’s bottom line.
According to Zippia, Chick-fil-A has more than 35,00 employees working at its nearly 2,900 restaurants and in 2021, they sold $11.3-Billion worth of food and drinks.
However, Chick-fil-A has never been known to rest on their laurels, always innovating and expanding.
In fact, the company operates a test kitchen in Maryland.
The little-discussed location is the chain’s proving ground for menu items they’re looking to roll-out nationwide.
The test kitchen spent seven years and $50-Million to perfect the famous Chick-fil-A golden nuggets – the bulk of those funds being spent on a special nugget grill created by Chick-fil-A scientists.
But now the chefs in the Chick-fil-A test kitchen have one creation you’ll have to taste to believe.
Introducing the Chick-fil-A pizza
The next big hit on the Chick-fil-A menu could be pizza.
The restaurant’s test kitchen is experimenting with a variety of pizza combinations and selling them at the College Park, Maryland location, known as “Little Blue Menu.”
“As an innovation kitchen brand, we are constantly looking at what our customers want to better serve them,” Stuart Tracy, senior culinary lead developer, said in a statement. “We’ve noticed our customers getting creative with Chick-fil-A ingredients on pizzas at home, so, we’ve decided to jump on board! Your taste buds already know the flavors, so it’s love before first bite.”
According to Fox News, so far, Chick-fil-A’s test kitchen is introducing five pizza options and a calzone.
Along with the classic, cheese, pepperoni, and meat and veggie pizzas, there are two options for chicken lovers.
The first is the Chick-fil-A Pizza Pie – with all the classic flavors fans of the chain already know and love.
The pie is covered in mozzarella cheese, topped with nuggets and drizzled with Chick-fil-A Sauce, and served with pickles.
There’s also the Buff-lo-Ranch Pizza Pie.
That one also comes with mozzarella cheese and nuggets, but the traditional Chick-fil-A sauce is replaced with a buffalo sauce and creamy house-made ranch dressing drizzle, all topped off with zesty lemon pepper seasoning.
Much like Taco Bell’s successful Mexican Pizza, if this test goes well, Chick-fil-A pizzas could soon be on a menu at the location nearest you.
