Left-wing Democrats at every level are shell-shocked that Donald Trump is returning to the Oval Office.
Instead of figuring out how to process that, they’re lashing out.
But Donald Trump is itching for the fight these county supervisors just picked with him.
A terrible response to Donald Trump’s win in November
The fallout from the November elections has been earth shattering as Democrats struggle to cope with the election results.
Some say the reason Kamala Harris lost is merely because she didn’t meet voters on the preferred voter platforms.
Others begrudgingly admit Joe Biden’s failed economy was a major factor and even though Democrats pretended otherwise, the cumulative effect of inflation was just too much.
But frequently missing in the Democrat post-mortems is what Democrats don’t like to admit – that issues matter.
And Democrats were on the wrong side of almost every issue the American people cared about in November.
Possibly the best example of this is immigration and border enforcement.
Trump promised to secure the border after years of Biden-Harris failure.
Voters responded to this call, and the message was loud and clear.
Americans don’t like being overrun by illegal immigrants.
They especially don’t like “sanctuary city” laws where local officials refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement while they give taxpayer money away to those illegally here.
But in California, San Diego County supervisors just showed they couldn’t care less what the people want.
San Diego County Board says they don’t care about federal law or what their constituents want
Before Trump even gets sworn in, they have already sent a clear signal by voting to block county cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
BREAKING: The San Diego County Board of Supervisors just voted 3-1 to turn the county into a “super” sanctuary county by shielding illegals from deportation and preventing police from notifying ICE about dangerous illegals in custody.

The 3-1 vote by the county’s board of supervisors goes even further than California’s existing radical sanctuary law, which already limits local law enforcement’s cooperation with immigration and customs enforcement (ICE).
According to the San Diego resolution, there will be no cooperation with ICE “including by giving ICE agents access to individuals or allowing them to use County facilities for investigative interviews or other purposes, expending County time or resources responding to ICE inquiries or communicating with ICE regarding individuals’ incarceration status or release dates, or otherwise participating in any civil immigration enforcement activities.”
But, even in California, there are some officials that aren’t on board with such leftist radicalism.
Sheriff Kelly Martinez pointed out that the board does not set policy for the sheriff, and she would not be honoring the new policy.

Martinez, who is also a Democrat, apparently feels that the county’s resolution is too radical, even for her.
She said, “Current state law strikes the right balance between limiting local law enforcement’s cooperation with immigration authorities, ensuring public safety and building community trust.”
Trump’s incoming border czar, Tom Homan, has promised to enforce existing federal immigration law even if local governments have sanctuary laws in place that limit cooperation with federal authorities.
Border Czar Tom Homan to San Diego: If you resist us, we’ll work even harder and deport even more
During a Fox News appearance, Homan referenced the San Diego resolution, saying, “Here’s what’s going to happen – you release that guy in the community, I’m going to send an entire team to go look for the guy in your community. And what’s going to happen? We’ll find that guy. And when we find that guy, there’s probably going to be others that are not a priority. That’s the exact result you don’t want, so let us in the jail. It’s safer for everybody.”
San Diego County, which sits on the Mexican border, has over 3.3 million residents and, given the open hostility of public officials, promises to be a pivotal location in the coming months of the Trump administration.
