Fox News made a desperate behind the scenes change after getting exposed doing the unthinkable

Fox News executives knew their enemies had blood in the cooler when one critic exposed an awful hypocrisy.

While they’ve been able to survive the downturn in corporate media’s fortunes in recent years, Fox News has had plenty of episodes that sunk Americans’ trust in them.

They almost shot themselves in the foot again.

And now Fox News made a desperate behind the scenes change after getting exposed doing the unthinkable.

Fox News gets caught red-handed

Former CNN hack turned newsletter producer Oliver Darcy has been one of the primary anti-free speech voices in the dying so-called “mainstream” media for years now, using his position as a “self-proclaimed” journalist to try to silence and destroy anyone who dares disagree with Democrats’ agenda.

But now, he’s calling out Fox News for a bit of blatant hypocrisy that is actually a legitimate criticism.

As you’re likely fully aware, Fox News’ talking heads have spent years now rightfully decrying the inevitable failures of Democrats’ woke, “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) agenda.

They rightfully pointed out that Democrats’ obsession with forcing DEI on Americans in the name of “social justice” was merely a smokescreen for pushing unconstitutional, discriminatory practices based on skin color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and the like, while also noting how DEI potentially played a role in numerous disasters and failures.

For instance, longtime Fox News host Sean Hannity told the network’s viewers that the recent commercial airplane crash caused by a military Blackhawk helicopter in the nation’s capitol showed “why DEI can be dangerous.”

His counterpart at the network, Jesse Watters, rightly brought attention to the fact that DEI hiring policies and programs had caused a shortage of air traffic controllers that contributed to the crash, as a class action lawsuit claims that at least 1,000 applicants for air traffic controller positions were not hired by the Biden FAA specifically because they were white.

But as Darcy’s reporting in his fledgling Salute newsletter exposed, while its talking heads were railing against DEI, Fox News executives were busy forcing such woke nonsense on the company.

As Darcy noted, literally every single job posting put out by Fox News proudly proclaimed that the network is “deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including attracting, retaining, and promoting diverse talent.”

“Reflecting the diversity of the world around us is critical to our company’s success,” the job postings added.

Nothing to see here

Mysteriously, almost immediately after Darcy sent out his newsletter, the DEI language magically disappeared from Fox News’ job postings.

The network’s PR department claimed that the inexplicably peculiar timing of its sudden change was merely a standard legal procedure they do “routinely.”

“Fox News Media routinely reviews our legal obligations including under federal, state, and local law and we have removed this language,” Fox News wrote in a carefully-crafted statement.

Of course, anyone with a brain knows that’s nothing but a “cover our a**es” excuse after being caught red-handed not practicing the type of anti-woke, merit-based hiring process they preach.

Let’s face it, if Fox News was merely updating its hiring practices based solely on the company’s “legal obligations,” it would’ve made this move immediately after former President Donald Trump signed an executive order eliminating DEI in the federal government days before Darcy prompted Fox News to go into damage control mode.

After all, Trump’s executive order specifically ordered the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights division to file lawsuits against such private sector DEI programs, so if Fox News was really worried about ensuring it’s on top of its “legal obligations,” Darcy would’ve never been able to report on their DEI hiring practices because they would’ve already been removed.

“It is the policy of the United States to protect the civil rights of all Americans and to promote individual initiative, excellence, and hard work,” Trump’s executive order read. “I therefore order all executive departments and agencies to terminate all discriminatory and illegal preferences, mandates, policies, programs, activities, guidance, regulations, enforcement actions, consent orders, and requirements.  I further order all agencies to enforce our longstanding civil-rights laws and to combat illegal private-sector DEI preferences, mandates, policies, programs, and activities.”

Regardless, this whole ordeal is simply further proof that just because someone is telling you what you want to hear, it doesn’t mean they’re really on your side.

And that’s true whether it’s a big, powerful media outlet like Fox News, or whoever your favorite “conservative influencers” on social media are.

You just never know who’s really pulling all the strings behind the scenes.
