Nancy Pelosi's caucus spent years using your tax dollars to put children on a medical path they can never walk back from.
Now one of Hollywood's last honest voices just said what the rest of that town is too afraid to say.
What he called the Democrats who made it happen is the one word nobody in that industry will touch – but your family has been thinking it for years.
The Word Hollywood Won't Say About Gender Affirming Care for Children
James Woods didn't dance around it.
Appearing on Adam Carolla's podcast this week, Woods went straight at the party he left years ago.
"If you're still a Democrat and you support mutilating 5-year-olds because they like the color pink, you're just a monster," he said. "I'm done with Democrats. If you're still a Democrat now, you're nuts!"
That's not a political statement.
That's a verdict.
Woods isn't some talking head who discovered conservatism last week.
In 2018, his own agent fired him – on the Fourth of July – for supporting Trump.
Hollywood made clear that conservatives weren't welcome at the table.
Woods sat at the table anyway and kept talking.
That's what makes this different from the usual celebrity noise.
He's one of the only names in that industry willing to say what half of America already knows.
The Cass Review Said Puberty Blockers Had No Evidence and Democrats Ignored It
Here's what Nancy Pelosi and the ACLU don't want you knowing.
The countries that invented these procedures are shutting them down.
The entire framework of puberty blockers, hormone therapies, and surgical interventions for children was developed in the Netherlands in the 1990s.
Europe ran the experiment first.
And Europe stopped.
The British government commissioned a sweeping independent review of its own gender identity services.
The result – the Cass Review, published in April 2024 – examined 237 studies from 18 countries.
The conclusion: the research base for transitioning children showed no meaningful benefit to their mental health.
Not thin evidence.
Not contested evidence.
Nothing.
Britain banned puberty blockers for minors outright in December 2024 – backed by both major political parties.
The following spring, the British Supreme Court ruled that biological sex is binary and that declaring yourself a woman doesn't make you one legally.
While Europe was slamming the door on this experiment, Pelosi's caucus was co-sponsoring a "Transgender Bill of Rights" to enshrine these procedures into federal law – and the ACLU was suing in federal court to block Trump every time he tried to stop it.
He called it healthcare.
The British called it malpractice.
Trump Banned Child Mutilation and the ACLU Filed Suit the Same Week
President Trump didn't wait for Democrats to catch up.
On January 28, 2025, he signed Executive Order 14187 – "Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation" – directing the federal government to stop funding, promoting, or supporting the chemical and surgical transition of minors.
In December 2025, HHS Secretary RFK Jr. put it in plain English: "This is not medicine, it is malpractice."
The administration moved to cut Medicare and Medicaid funding from any hospital performing these procedures on children.
The House passed a bill making it a federal felony – up to ten years in prison – for any provider who does this to a minor.
Pelosi's caucus called it cruel.
They ran to the courts.
The ACLU filed lawsuit after lawsuit to keep the procedures funded and protected.
What they haven't been able to do is explain why Britain, Sweden, Norway, and Finland – none of them conservative countries – all reached the same conclusion America's right has been making for years.
When the most progressive health systems on earth say stop, and the only people still pushing are American Democrats, the question isn't about medicine anymore.
James Woods answered that question in one word.
He's right.
And the parents who've been called extremists for saying the same thing deserve to hear someone in Hollywood finally say it out loud.
