But that all changed when she faced her own day of reckoning.

Jen Psaki gave closed door testimony to House Republicans
Former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki found herself in hot water after she told a blatant lie about President Joe Biden.
In her memoir, Say More, she falsely claimed that Biden never checked his watch at Dover Air Force Base in 2021 during the dignified transfer ceremony of the 13 soldiers killed in a suicide attack at the Kabul airport.
Multiple journalists took photos of him checking his watch, and the grieving families also confirmed that Biden’s rude behavior.
Her lie was so easily disproved Psaki was forced to issue a correction in future copies of her book.
And her blatant lie resulted in the House Foreign Affairs Committee threatening to subpoena her to testify behind closed doors about the Afghanistan withdrawal.
According to a transcript obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, Psaki testified to the Committee that she didn’t “challenge or question” false information put out by the Biden-Harris administration about Afghanistan.
As White House Press Secretary in August of 2021, she said that it was “irresponsible” to say that there were Americans left behind in the withdrawal.
Then, in September of 2021, Psaki admitted there were still “around 100” Americans stranded there.
The administration later told Congress that almost 400 Americans were stuck in the country.
Psaki told the Committee that she was unable to “challenge the quality or veracity of the policymakers’ information” about Afghanistan.

Psaki claimed she never questioned the information that she was given about Afghanistan by Biden administration officials.
“Psaki testified that she did not receive information, nor did she seek it out—whether it be through talkers, briefings, or memoranda—from the relevant principles and experts at executive agencies,” a Committee source told the Free Beacon. “When presented with official assessments from senior State Department and Defense Department officials which debunked and/or countered public press statements by the White House, she conveyed she did not assess or question the veracity of the information provided to her by the NSC.”
A July 2021 internal dissent cable from State Department officials warned that Afghanistan would quickly fall to the Taliban.
This information ran counter to rosy public proclamations from the Biden-Harris administration, so they simply ignored it.
Psaki said that her job was to parrot the company line about Afghanistan, not deal with dissenting opinions.
“My job as the spokesperson was not to discuss everybody’s viewpoint from within the government,” Psaki said.
RINO Michael McCaul (R-TX) said that Psaki’s testimony named White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan as the source of false information about what was happening on the ground in Afghanistan.
“It’s time for NSC Advisor Jake Sullivan to explain himself and be held accountable to the American people,” McCaul told the Free Beacon.
The Biden-Harris administration knew it was lying to the public about how badly the Afghanistan withdrawal was going.
And their actions resulted in the deaths of Americans, something they have yet to be held accountable for.
