For half a century, Americans have made fun of Joseph Stalin’s Soviet Union and their famous “five-year plans” that have always resulted in massive food shortages despite the communist government’s expectations.

But now, the Soviet Union’s food rationing is being introduced in America.

Vice President Kamala Harris just announced her first major speech over her economic plans for America.

And her plans are expected to include how she intends to combat the very price surges she created when she cast the tie-breaking vote in the U.S. Senate for President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion inflation package.

Those plans by Harris surround one horrifying strategy – price controls.

Time Magazine reported, “Harris plans to direct the Federal Trade Commission and other agencies to investigate and penalize ‘big corporations’ that violate the rules, and to find other ways of tackling price fixing and other anti-competitive practices in the food and grocery industries, her campaign said late Wednesday night.”

But the problem with price controls is that they always result in one outcome: shortages.

Supply and demand has been a long discovered concept, and it holds an undefeated record over radical Left ideas, including price controls.

The reason is that if the government sets the price of a good below its market rate, demand for that goodwill skyrockets.

However, suppliers will no longer gain enough profit to justify making more of that good, so the supply will plummet.

Critics have relentlessly mocked this Soviet-style scheme as nothing more than economic illiteracy.

Kamala Harris sets her target on the meat industry

Not only does Kamala Harris want to limit the supply of food, but she wants to target meat producers as well.

“Harris, in her speech, will specifically single out the highly consolidated meat industry, deeming its processing middlemen ‘particularly egregious’ price fixers with a history of being found to have illegally controlled prices,” Time Magazine included in their report.

As wild as it sounds, this is no mistake.

Harris is hoping to unleash her radical Left price controls that will result in the shortage of top food sources for Americans, including meat.

This is a part of her long-held objective to cut back on the ability for Americans to consume hamburgers, as well as other meat products.

And her justification is even crazier than the idea itself – to curb climate change.

Harris first introduced her plan to ban the consumption of red meat during her 2020 Presidential campaign.

This is rooted in the Democrat’s belief that cow farts are a leading cause of climate change.

With price controls and regulatory battles against meat producers, Democrats would force Americans to consume less beef, which would, in turn, reduce the need for cows, thus, leading to fewer cows and cow farts – a huge victory against climate change in their eyes.

This is how the Democrats’ logic works.

And Kamala Harris is using it in full force to target red-state meat producers.
