There’s little doubt that when it comes to Constitutional principles, few, if any, Americans are more on point than Mark Levin.
But he’s also adopted a blatantly anti-America First position on certain issues.
And now, Mark Levin dropped his mask and picked one fight with Donald Trump that will leave you steaming.
Endless wars are the opposite of America First
President Donald Trump has readily admitted over the past few years that one of the biggest mistakes – possibly the biggest mistake – he made during his first term in office was trusting individuals within the ruling class establishment to advance the America First agenda.
While certainly a positive overall, Trump’s inexperience within Washington, D.C. and the political arena at large inevitably allowed rogue neocons like Generals Mark Milley, James Mattis, and John Kelly, not to mention former Secretary of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo, to undermine the President’s efforts at every turn.
This time around, though, President Trump has wisely surrounded himself with America First warriors, like Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and his recent nomination of “Razin’ Caine,” Lt. Gen. Dan Caine, as the new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
And while those nominations definitely ruffled plenty of establishment feathers, few have received the backlash of Trump’s nomination of former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy and Force Development, Elbridge Colby.
Of course, that’s largely because Colby has been one of the few foreign policy experts loudly decrying the U.S. government’s continuation of the establishment’s failed neocon agenda, while opposing the war in Ukraine, as well as American involvement in potential wars with Iran, other Middle Eastern countries, and Russia, choosing instead to focus on the real existential threat to our nation – Communist China.
Unsurprisingly, Colby’s nomination has whipped the warmongering neocons, like disgraced former Rep. Liz Cheney (RINO-WY) and Senator Mitch McConnell (RINO-KY), into a total frenzy.
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk recently took to social media to alert Trump supporters that notorious neocon Senator Tom Cotton (RINO-AR) was secretly leading a Machiavellian, behind-the-scenes effort to kneecap Colby’s nomination in the Senate.
“The effort to undermine President Trump continues in the US Senate,” Kirk explained on X. “@SenTomCotton is working behind the scenes to stop Trump’s pick, Elbridge Colby, from getting confirmed at DOD. Colby is one of the most important pieces to stop the Bush/Cheney cabal at DOD.”
“Why is Tom Cotton doing this?” Kirk added.
And unfortunately, that prompted nationally syndicated radio host and Fox News host Mark Levin to remind everyone that his preferred foreign policy agenda more closely aligns to that of a Bush RINO or Biden Democrat than that of America First patriots.
A real shame
While Levin is undoubtedly one of conservatives’ top spokesmen for Constitutional principles, he’s also never met a foreign war he didn’t want American soldiers to die in, even if there was no real national interest involved.
For instance, to this day, his position on the disastrous, decades-long Iraq War remains that the U.S. should have invaded Iran instead, as if neocons simply picked the wrong foreign regime change operation rather than recognizing the reality that the more than 100 regime change operations the U.S. has led since World War II have resulted in nothing but more death, poverty, despair, and chaos throughout the world – particularly here at home.
In response to Kirk’s warning about Cotton’s neocon efforts, Levin absurdly claimed that Colby was a threat to national security because Colby doesn’t believe America should go to war with Iran tomorrow to stop them from getting a nuclear weapon they’ve come nowhere close to obtaining in decades.
“Sorry Charlie,” Levin replied smugly. “It is the unequivocal position of President Trump and every sane person that Iran must not get nukes. If this guy has no problem with it, he’s the problem, not Cotton. He’s out of sync, not Cotton. He’s undermining national security, not Cotton.”
Vice President J.D. Vance weighed in on the debate over Colby’s nomination, rightly pointing out that he’s simply a “foreign policy realist” whose positions on the major foreign policy debates of the past two decades have been proven correct.
“Bridge has consistently been correct about the big foreign policy debates of the last 20 years,” Vance wrote on X. “He was critical of the Iraq War, which made him unemployable in the 2000s era conservative movement. He built a relationship with CNAS when it was one of the few institutions that would even hire a foreign policy realist. A perceptive writer would ask why a serious realist was shut out of the dominant institutions of the American Right in the late 2000s.”
In his second term in office, Donald Trump is surrounding himself with America First warriors who can undoubtedly help clean up the mess both RINO and Democrat neocons have created around the world and especially here at home.
But it’s not going to happen without a major fight, even from those you might least suspect.
