Peter Doocy just shocked the nation with this comment about Joe Biden’s decision to step aside

Karine Jean-Pierre’s White House press briefings were only made worth watching by Fox News Channel’s Peter Doocy.

Doocy is never afraid to ask Jean-Pierre the uncomfortable questions that make her stammer and stutter.

And Peter Doocy just shocked the nation with this comment about Joe Biden’s decision to step aside.

Oh, those wacky Democrat White House Press Secretaries

Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy has been a major thorn in the side of the Biden administration since the 2020 elections.

Doocy is almost the only reporter in the White House press corps who isn’t afraid to ask the tough questions that Jean-Pierre does not want to answer.

And there is no question Doocy is very good at his job.

That’s why Fox News recently promoted Doocy to the role of Senior White House Correspondent for the network.

“Peter’s commitment to providing viewers with hourly news and insight from the White House has remained steadfast since he started in this role straight off the 2020 campaign trail and we’re thrilled to have him continue doing so,” President and Executive Editor Jay Wallace said in a statement.

Doocy was a thorn in the side of Jen Psaki during her tumultuous time as Biden’s Press Secretary, and he’s given Jean-Pierre the same treatment.

But it’s not just the White House Press Secretaries who get tough questions from Doocy.

Doocy is also not afraid to take on Joe Biden and press him for answers during his public appearances.

In 2022, Doocy asked Biden a question Biden hated so much that a hot mic caught the President calling him a “stupid son of a b****” in response.

“Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?” Doocy asked Biden.

“It’s a great asset—more inflation,” Biden said. “What a stupid son of a b****.”

Biden later called Doocy and apologized to him.

When Joe Biden was facing growing concerns about his mental health back in February following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report, Doocy called him out on it and asked, “How bad is your memory, and can you continue as President?”

“My memory is so bad [that] I let you speak,” Biden shot back.

But now Joe Biden will only be in office until January of 2025, and Doocy has been promoted.

Biden and Doocy will probably never have any more interactions for the rest of Biden’s life.

And Peter Doocy is surprisingly saddened by it.

Doocy sits for magazine interview

During an interview with New York Magazine, Doocy told columnist Charlotte Klein that he would miss Joe Biden.

“Based on this week here, yes, but when I was here for the Biden walkthrough, and just the amount that I had gotten to know him over the last five years—when I saw him looking out at all of this, it definitely seemed like he was thinking, am I doing the right thing?” Doocy said in response to a question about if Democrats had made the right choice in choosing Vice President Kamala Harris.

Klein then asked Doocy if he would miss Joe Biden.

“Yes. I really will,” Doocy said.

“I don’t think it took long for them to know exactly what to expect from me,” he continued. “They knew I was always going to ask him something hard and he continued to engage for years after that and his team did too.”

“And so yes, I will miss him,” he added.

Peter Doocy may miss Joe Biden, but it’s very clear the American people surely won’t.
