The numbers don’t lie, and they’re absolutely devastating for Democrats.
Conservative states are crushing liberal strongholds when it comes to economic growth and prosperity.
And red states just exposed the one thing Democrats can’t stand about their failed economic policies.
LendingTree Study Drags Democrat Failures Into the Open
A bombshell new report from LendingTree has ripped the mask off the Left’s economic lies and revealed what many Americans already suspected — conservative states are absolutely demolishing their liberal counterparts when it comes to real prosperity.¹
The financial research company analyzed the 100 biggest metropolitan areas in America using hard data on median earnings, GDP changes, population growth, housing markets, and workforce expansion from 2021 to 2023.
What they found should have every Democrat scrambling for cover.
Eight out of the top 10 fastest-growing "boomtowns" in America are located in the South, with Texas and Florida leading the charge like economic powerhouses.
Florida claimed a stunning half of the top 10 spots, while Texas dominated with Austin taking the number one overall ranking.
Austin didn’t just win — it obliterated the competition with a jaw-dropping 14.6% jump in annual gross domestic product between 2021 and 2023, more than any other metro area in the entire study.
Meanwhile, cities in Democrat-controlled states are watching their residents and businesses flee faster than you can say "tax hike."
The Numbers That’ll Make Democrats Squirm
Here’s what conservative governance actually delivers when politicians get out of the way and let free markets work.
Austin, Texas took the crown for overall growth, plus the top spots in both "people and housing" and "business and economy" categories.
Orlando, Florida grabbed second place overall and scored highest in "work and earnings."
North Port, Florida showed explosive growth in GDP, housing, and population that left coastal elites speechless.
Nashville, Tennessee — the heart of Music City — proved that conservative values and economic prosperity go hand in hand with the fourth-fastest growth score of 69.5.
Cape Coral, Florida posted a massive 12.3% rise in annual GDP and earned the number two ranking in "business and economy."
The remaining slots went to Colorado Springs, Charleston (South Carolina), Lakeland (Florida), Deltona (Florida), and Denver — with the vast majority representing states that embrace conservative economic principles.
Why Red States Keep Winning While Blue States Keep Losing
LendingTree didn’t mince words about why Florida dominated their rankings.
They pointed directly to Florida’s smart approach to taxation, its universities that actually prepare skilled workers, and pro-business policies that roll out the red carpet for job creators.²
It’s the exact opposite of what Democrats have been peddling for decades.
While California, New York, and Illinois have been busy raising taxes, strangling businesses with red tape, and implementing woke policies that drive away families, conservative states have been quietly building the most prosperous economy in American history.
A separate analysis from The Daily Economy revealed the stark contrast between red and blue state economic performance, with Texas adding a staggering 267,400 nonfarm jobs while maintaining a civilian labor force of over 15.3 million people.³
Meanwhile, California — despite adding jobs — saw its unemployment rate climb to 5.2%, the second-highest in the nation.
The Golden State ranks a pathetic 48th in fiscal freedom, 49th in regulatory freedom, and 48th in overall freedom according to the Freedom in the 50 States report.
The Great American Migration Proves Conservative Policies Work
The Internal Revenue Service’s own migration data tells the real story that Democrats desperately want to hide.
California suffered the largest net loss of adjusted gross income at $23.8 billion in 2022, while Texas gained $21 billion and Florida gained an astounding $36 billion.⁴
That’s not just numbers on a spreadsheet — that’s real families, real businesses, and real wealth flowing from high-tax, high-regulation Democrat states to conservative havens that actually care about prosperity.
People aren’t stupid. They know which states offer opportunity and which ones offer nothing but higher taxes, more regulations, and woke nonsense that makes it impossible to build a business or raise a family.
City Journal’s recent analysis confirmed what millions of Americans already know firsthand — Republican states have been "winning the migration battle" by offering lower taxes and less regulation while attracting new investment.⁵
What This Means for America’s Future
This isn’t just about bragging rights — it’s about the fundamental direction of our country.
Conservative states aren’t just attracting people and businesses. They’re proving that free-market principles, limited government, and respect for traditional values create more prosperity, more opportunity, and better lives for working families.
Texas has maintained its 23-year streak as the top exporting state and added 125,000 new business entities in 2024 alone, bringing the total to nearly 2.93 million — almost double the number from a decade ago.⁶
Meanwhile, Democrat-controlled states keep doubling down on the same failed policies that are driving their residents to flee.
The choice couldn’t be clearer. Conservative states offer freedom, opportunity, and prosperity. Democrat states offer higher taxes, more regulations, and lectures about pronouns.
Guess which one working Americans are choosing?
As the 2026 midterm elections approach, this economic data will be political dynamite. Democrats can’t run on their economic record because their record is families and businesses running away from their policies as fast as humanly possible.
The numbers don’t lie — and they’re exposing exactly why conservative governance is the key to American prosperity.
