Actors and entertainers are constantly thrusting themselves into the middle of political debates.
But usually they are spouting off about the latest woke leftist issue of the day.
But a political statement by this Yellowstone star got him kicked off a plane in an awful example of wokeness.
Yellowstone star didn’t like his seat assignment after he was seated next to a masked up passenger
Actor Forrie J. Smith played the hard-scrabble character Lloyd Pierce on the critically acclaimed smash-hit TV show Yellowstone.
But Smith’s not your conventional run of the mill woke Hollywood actor.
Smith’s a hardcore opponent of tyrannical COVID mandates.
And even now, in 2024, Smith won’t let his opposition drop.
Smith recently posted a video to his Instagram informing his more than 500,000 followers that he got kicked off a plane simply because he refused to sit next to a masked passenger.
“You know my social media people tell me that you like me face to face, but you know what I can’t say face to face what I want,” Smith began.
“I just got kicked off a plane, and . . . where the hell am I at – Houston, Texas – because I told them I didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to somebody with a mask on,” Smith added.
Smith said the flight crew attempted to falsely claim he was drunk.
But, he explained, the real reason they booted him from the flight was because he said he didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to someone still wearing a mask in public.
“Ya, I’ve been drinking. I’ve been sitting in an airport for three hours. Ya I’m drinking. I ain’t drunk, but they throw me off the plane because I’m drunk, because you people won’t stand up and tell everybody what bulls*** this is,” Smith continued.
“I just told them I didn’t feel comfortable about sitting next to somebody that had to wear a mask, and I’m off the plane,” Smith concluded.
Smith had had enough in 2022
Smith first took a stand on the issue when he refused to attend the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards because of the COVID protocols the actors union bosses kept in place.
To attend the show, one had to provide proof of vaccination, a booster shot, and a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the event.
Smith told his social media followers at the time he was refusing to accept so many infringements on his bodily autonomy.
“I want to apologize to y’all for not being at the Screen Actors Guild Awards,” Smith posted. “I mean no offense to anyone. I’m not vaccinated, and it’s a requirement to be vaccinated.”
“I will not get vaccinated. I haven’t been vaccinated since I was a little kid. I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I’ve never had a flu shot. Never will,” Smith stated.
These common sense views aren’t winning Smith any friends in Hollywood where supporting the “correct” causes and toeing the Democrat Party line is a key to career advancement in tinsel town.
With Yellowstone winding down and in its final season it’s an open question as to whether or not Smith will be able to find work again.
But that doesn’t seem to bother him as he clearly is sticking to his guns on individual liberties.
