Kash Patel is yet another Trump nominee facing an onslaught of brutal attacks from Democrats.
But to the Democrats’ dismay, Patel has a quick-witted ally on his side.
And this top Democrat got nailed by John Kennedy over his disgusting attack on Kash Patel.
Kash Patel faces the leftist gauntlet in his Senate confirmation hearing
FBI director nominee, Kash Patel, was nominated by President Donald Trump to take over and clean up the once proud bureau.
Trump battled the FBI during his first term in office after the bureau perpetrated the Russian collusion hoax to undermine his Presidency.
The FBI continued its efforts to destroy Trump during the 2020 elections.
Patel is a reformer who can end the politicization and weaponization of the FBI and get it refocused on its original mission of fighting crime.
That’s why Democrats have been hell-bent on trying to sink his nomination.
Patel recently had his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
During that hearing, Democrats tried to discredit him and get him in gotcha situations.
Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin even called Patel a “conspiracy theorist” during the hearing.
U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) soon came to the FBI Director nominee’s defense with his trademark brand of humor.
“My colleague and friend Senator Durbin called you a ‘conspiracy theorist.’ You remember that?” Kennedy asked.
Patel said that he did.
“You were instrumental in revealing the Trump-Russia election-collusion hoax was a hoax, weren’t you?” Kennedy wondered.
Patel was a staffer on the House Intelligence Committee under former Chairmen Devin Nunes (R-CA), where he helped expose the Russian collusion hoax in 2018.
He acknowledged that he was the lead investigator for the committee during that investigation.
Kennedy sat silently with a serious look on his face while he nodded his head.
“Sounds to me like we need to get some new conspiracy theories because all the old ones turned out to be true,” Kennedy said.
That prompted laughter from Patel and some of the audience.
“Facts matter, Senator,” Patel replied.
John Kennedy leaves the Senate hearing in stitches
Kennedy also observed that calling something a conspiracy theory is just the Left’s way of trying to discredit the truth these days.
“I mean, conspiracy theorists are up something like 37 to nothing,” Kennedy quipped, which caused the audience to burst into laughter.
Democrats tried to make hay out of Patel’s previous comments that have been critical of the politicized leadership of the FBI.
“You’re not saying everybody at the FBI is bad, are you?” Kennedy asked.
“I’ve never said that,” Patel responded. “I’ve overwhelmingly said, multiple times, that 98% of the FBI is courageous, apolitical warriors for justice. They just need better leadership.”
Patel argued during the hearing that his work as a public defender and on the probe into the Russian collusion hoax made him qualified to spot abuses of power by the FBI.
He vowed that he would end the politicization that overtook the FBI in the Biden regime.
“I have no interest, no desire and will not, if confirmed, go backward,” Patel said. “There will be no politicization at the FBI. There will be no retributive actions taken.”
Kash Patel is ready to go into the FBI and clear out the rot that’s festered inside the bureau for far too long.
And that is exactly why Democrats want to stop him.
