Trey Gowdy gave Donald Trump one warning about Fani Willis that every Republican needs to hear

Fulton County Democrat District Attorney Fani Willis thought she could set the stage for a run for the U.S. Senate or Governor by hitting Donald Trump with yet another witch hunt.

Instead she is now on the verge of seeing her career implode.

Willis has been staring down the barrel at being removed not only from her witch hunt against former President Donald Trump, but potentially from her position as DA as well, over major conflict of interest and perjury allegations.

Willis allegedly hired her lover, Nathan Wade, as a special prosecutor in the case, and proceeded to pay him over $650,000 in taxpayer money – significantly more than others in similar positions – despite the fact that he had no experience with the case law at hand, and had never even worked any more than simple misdemeanor cases.

To make matters worse, bank records exposed in Wade’s ongoing divorce proceedings have indicated that Wade used the taxpayer money to provide the Democrat DA with kickbacks in the form of luxury vacations, and potentially other expenses – Willis claims she repaid all the expenses with piles of untraceable cash she supposedly keeps hidden throughout her home, which her father claimed is simply “a black thing,” and not the major red flag it clearly is.

With so many of Willis and Wade’s claims about their affair and the hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayer money she funneled to him being debunked by evidence and witness testimony, it would seem that the Democrat DA’s fate is all but sealed.

But Fox News’ Trey Gowdy is sounding the alarm on why Willis’ removal from the case may not be in Trump’s best interest.

As Gowdy pointed out, if Willis is removed from the case, that will give the ruling class elites the opportunity to appoint a prosecutor to oversee the case who doesn’t have any dirty laundry, and is far more competent than the Fulton County Democrat DA.

“I just want people to understand that this is not the way 99.9% of all prosecutors in this country conduct themselves on either side of the aisle,” Gowdy, a former prosecutor in his own right, explained. “These are politicians masquerading as prosecutors, and it will be the undoing of our justice system. Now, whether or not a judge finds that this is sufficient to disqualify the prosecutors, I’m not sure that helps Trump. I’d rather have two people who don’t know what they’re doing prosecute me than go find two people who actually do.”

The former South Carolina Congressman went on to explain that Willis is only the tip of the iceberg, and that the much larger issue is the fact that Democrats weaponized the justice system to eliminate their political opponents, like Trump.

“The larger point is weaponizing our justice system, whether it’s the federal or the state level,” Gowdy pointed out. “It will be our undoing. What I’d like to know more about are these meetings between Fani Willis or Nathan Wade and the White House, because that level of political coordination should disgust people of all political ideations.”

“Fani Willis or Nathan Wade may very well have issues with respect to perjury,” he continued. “They may have issues with candor before the court. They may have Georgia bar issues. The question for President Trump and other co-defendants is whether or not the indictment is legally sufficient. And even if it is not, they’re just going to go get another grand jury to indict him. Again, we got to fix the underlying pathology, which is a politicization of our justice system.”

While many will celebrate if Fani Willis is ultimately removed from her witch hunt against Donald Trump, it may not be the win they were expecting.
