Tyrese Gibson dodged police for over a week after his mastiffs killed a neighbor’s dog in a shocking attack

Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson has been playing hide and seek with Georgia police.

His massive Cane Corso mastiffs allegedly mauled a neighbor’s beloved family dog to death in a gruesome attack.

And now Tyrese Gibson dodged police for over a week after his mastiffs killed a neighbor’s dog in a shocking attack.

Hollywood actor’s dangerous dogs had been causing problems for months

Gibson’s trouble with his four-legged companions had been brewing long before tragedy struck his affluent Buckhead neighborhood.

Residents had grown tired of seeing the actor’s enormous Cane Corso mastiffs wandering their streets without supervision.

Captain Nicole Dwyer from the Fulton County Police Department confirmed that her officers had fielded multiple complaints about Gibson’s uncontrolled animals over recent months.¹

The department tried working with the Hollywood star, issuing repeated warnings about his failure to properly secure the powerful dogs.

But Gibson apparently brushed off their concerns.

Cane Corsos aren’t lap dogs – these Italian war hounds can tip the scales at 120 pounds and pack enough bite force to crush bones.

Originally bred for hunting wild boar and protecting estates, they require owners who understand how to handle their raw power.

Gibson’s neighbors were about to learn just how dangerous these animals could be when left to roam free.

The nightmare scenario everyone feared finally happened on a September afternoon that Harrison Parker will never forget.

Parker had stepped outside to let his cherished companion Henry enjoy some fresh air in their securely fenced yard.

Henry was a gentle 5-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who brought joy to the Parker family every single day.

When Parker returned moments later, his world turned upside down.

"I found my dog dead in my driveway," Parker told local news station WSB-TV 2.²

The beloved family pet had been savagely killed, suffering devastating internal injuries and puncture wounds that told the story of a vicious mauling.

Police came looking but Gibson had vanished

Law enforcement moved swiftly after Henry’s brutal death.

Within days, detectives secured a search warrant to examine Gibson’s property and question the actor about his animals’ deadly rampage.

But when officers arrived at Gibson’s residence on September 22, they found an empty house.

Both the Fast & Furious star and his killer dogs had mysteriously disappeared.

That same Monday, authorities escalated their response by filing criminal charges against the missing actor.

Gibson now faces allegations of animal cruelty – a charge that carries real consequences in Georgia.

Police informed Gibson’s legal team that he had until Friday, September 26, to surrender himself for booking and processing.

That deadline came and went without Gibson showing his face at any police station.

Captain Dwyer revealed the frustrating reality law enforcement now faces with the celebrity suspect.

"According to his attorney he is getting his affairs in order but he has known he has a warrant for over a week and has failed to turn himself in as requested," Dwyer told PEOPLE.³

Translation: Gibson is stalling while police wait.

His lawyer, Gabe Banks, tried putting the best spin possible on his client’s disappearing act.

Banks claimed Gibson is "cooperating fully with authorities to address and resolve this matter responsibly."⁴

The attorney also released a statement saying Gibson "extends his deepest condolences to the family who lost their beloved dog to this tragic incident that occurred while Mr. Gibson was away from his home."⁵

Banks revealed one crucial detail – Gibson has gotten rid of the dangerous animals, claiming the actor "rehomed his beloved mastiffs."

That’s lawyer-speak for admitting the dogs were too dangerous to keep around.

Community fears what could have been next victim

Captain Dwyer didn’t mince words when explaining why this case matters beyond one dead pet.

The veteran officer expressed genuine alarm about what might happen if similar incidents continue in residential neighborhoods.

"Our priority is the safety of the community and when there’s so many incidents of dogs, especially large dogs like this, getting out and then killing an animal, you know, what’s next? A child?" Dwyer said.⁶

She’s seen this movie before, and it doesn’t end well.

Cane Corsos have killed people before – including kids who were just playing in their own yards.

Put dogs like that in the hands of someone who can’t be bothered to keep them locked up? You’re looking at a disaster waiting to happen.

Gibson’s negligence put every person in his neighborhood at risk.

The only reason we’re not talking about human casualties is pure luck.

Harrison Parker and his family are living with permanent heartbreak because a celebrity couldn’t be bothered to control his animals.

"Not hearing him around, it’s just awful," Parker said about losing Henry. "He was one of the sweetest dogs and to have him get murdered is, it’s indescribable."⁷

The cruel irony cuts deep – Gibson made millions playing action heroes who protect innocent people from danger.

So much for the tough guy image. Gibson’s gotten rich playing heroes, but he couldn’t handle the basic responsibility of keeping his animals under control.

Now a family is heartbroken because the Fast & Furious star was too lazy to build a proper fence.

Gibson’s playing games with the police while the Parkers are stuck with the nightmare he created.

They lost Henry forever because a millionaire movie star couldn’t be bothered to keep his dogs locked up.

The investigation continues, but the damage is already done.

Gibson finally removed his dangerous animals from the equation, but only after they killed somebody’s beloved family member.

Some lessons get learned too late, and some prices are too high to ever make things right again.

Update:  Gibson was arrested by police after turning himself in on Friday.
