A U.S. Senator was recently rushed to the hospital after a scary incident.
The news left his colleagues in Congress gasping in shock.
Because a U.S. Senator’s terrifying accident just put him into the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Republican Senator Kevin Cramer suffers brain bleed after terrifying accident
President Trump just delivered a horrifying announcement that Republican Senator Kevin Cramer from North Dakota was in the hospital after cracking his skull after falling on ice at his home.
Trump noted that Cramer was doing well and that his wife was with him as he faced the road to recovery.
“Our Great Senator from North Dakota, Senator Kevin Cramer, just recently slipped on ice and hit his head, causing quite an injury,” Trump announced on his Truth Social platform.
“He is now resting comfortably but went through a lot. His wonderful wife, Kris, is with him, and I’m sure he will be fine, but it was a close call!” he continued. “Get well soon, Kevin, and thank you to Kris for her quick and very alert response to Kevin’s difficult moment!”
Cramer followed up with his own statement released on Facebook explaining what had happened.
“Late yesterday afternoon, I walked to my backyard intending to retrieve a piece of conduit which came off my dock and was laying on the ice,” he started in his statement.
Cramer explained that when he was walking down a hill, he slipped and fell on his head.
He said that the fall knocked him out, and he couldn’t remember anything until he woke up in the emergency room, where doctors explained that he suffered from a concussion, a seizure, and brain bleeding.
“While walking on the hill down to the dock, I stepped on ice and evidently fell hard, hitting the back of my head,” explained Cramer. “I do not remember anything from the fall until arriving at Sanford Health emergency room with [wife] Kris.”
“After seeing the emergency doctor, taking some tests, including a CT Scan, and seeing a neurologist, I was diagnosed with a severe concussion, a seizure, and a slight brain bleed,” he continued.
Cramer noted that the doctors had to use staples to seal the wound because his head “wouldn’t stop oozing.”
“The wound on my head wouldn’t stop oozing, so the doctor punched a couple of staples on the laceration and admitted me,” he detailed.
Cramer also explained that the doctors couldn’t offer him a timetable to return to his duties in Washington, D.C., and said that he was instructed to rest and focus on recovery.
“I had a good night’s sleep before getting a second CT scan,” added Cramer. “I am better today with only a slight brain bleed and pretty bad headaches.”
“Doctors prefer I rest a little longer before returning to DC, so I do not know exactly when that will happen,” concluded the North Dakota Republican. “It will be day to day this week, but I am ready to return quickly if events require it.”
Americans have sighed in relief knowing that Cramer is expected to make a full recovery and will soon return to his duties.
But his absence makes things for Donald Trump’s agenda a bit tricky.
House Republicans just recently passed their budget resolution bill that will allow them to finally move forward on a reconciliation bill that has in it President Trump’s $4.5 trillion tax cut proposal, border security funding, and plans to increase American energy production.
Senate Republicans still need to review the bill for passage.
With Cramer no longer in Washington, D.C., Republicans will only have a 52 vote majority.
And RINOs are already likely opposed to this proposal – Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine – giving President Trump no margin of error to get his bill through Congress.
While it is good news that Cramer is expected to make a full recovery, things in Washington, D.C. are likely to grow more tense as his absence is going to be felt with every proposal, particularly those surrounding Trump’s agenda.
