Vince Vaughn is one of the few celebrities who takes a hardline stance against cancel culture and suppression of free speech.

The movie star isn’t happy with the one-sided world view existing in Tinseltown.

And now Vaughn is putting his finger directly on the cause of unwatchable content currently coming out of Hollywood.

The reviews are in . . .

A consensus seems to be forming as to why they just don’t seem to make movies and television shows like they used to.

The man behind massive hits like, Airplane, the Naked Gun series and the Scary Movie franchise, David Zucker believes Political Correct Thought Police are preventing artists from creating art.

“They’re destroying comedy because of 9% of the people who don’t have a sense of humor,” Zucker said in a 2022 interview with Prager U.

Back in his heyday, when movies were funny, Zucker said the gloves were off.

“We could be as offensive as we liked … we went where the laughs were,” Zucker said of his early days.

“We never worried about any of this stuff with the ‘Naked Guns’ or even the ‘Scary Movies.”

Later in the interview, the Prager U host asked Zucker if he could make Airplane today.

“Sure,” Zucker said. “Just without the jokes.”

Comics like Dave Chappelle, Ricky Gervais, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Maher, Adam Carolla, Steven Crowder, and many others have made similar accusations.

Now, you can add Vince Vaughn’s prominent name to that list.

Vince Vaughn is so money, and he doesn’t even know it

Vince Vaughn was recently out on a press tour promoting his new Apple TV series, Bad Monkey.

But just like the characters in his movies often do, Vaughn went on a bit of a rant.

The Wedding Crashers star gave two reasons for why older shows like The Office and Seinfeld are outperforming almost all new content coming out of Hollywood.

Hollywood in Toto reported that Vaughn first mentioned that writers and other staffers are afraid of losing their jobs and, therefore, aren’t willing to take any chances.

The second and more glaring reason – is cancel culture and the intolerance of opposing viewpoints.

“There was a moment when certain people felt like they could be the judge and jury of what a story is or what’s too far,” Vaughn said in a New York Times interview.

“It’s a crazy thing for human beings to think that my ideas are the best, and if I can just force people to do what I believe, the world will be great.”

Vaughn added that virtue signaling and suppression of speech forces narratives to stay in a safe and uninteresting little box.

“You have a bunch of dumb people who think that they are somehow more righteous than their neighbor [emphasis added], who are going to impose through force that it’s somehow bad to explore human beings in the extremes.”

Vaughn’s Bad Monkey debuts on Apple TV on August 14.
