Throughout his foray into politics Donald Trump’s family has played a big role in helping him overcome the noise from Democrats’ media allies and connect with working class Americans
None have played a bigger role than his wife, but after leaving the White House the former First Lady has been notably missing from key 2024 campaign events.
So now Democrats are in a panic after Melania Trump made one choice they abhor.
After former President Donald Trump left office in January 2021, former First Lady Melania Trump returned with her husband and son, Barron, to Mar-A-Lago, and seemingly went out of her way to remain as private as she could.
Of course, no one can blame Melania for wanting to live as private a life as one can with 24/7 Secret Service protection after the way Democrats and their media allies have and continue to treat her and her family.
In fact, her absence from Trump’s public appearances, especially since his 2024 campaign began in earnest, inevitably led to even more speculation, gossip, and outright slander from Democrats’ media allies.
Nevertheless, both Trump and Melania always maintained that she would play a big role in the 2024 campaign, but was simply focusing her attention on helping Barron through his final year of high school.
And back on March 19, Melania joined her husband at their local polling place to cast their votes in Florida’s Republican Presidential Primary, sending Democrats’ media allies into a tizzy as they peppered her with questions about whether she would be taking on a more prominent role within the campaign anytime soon.
“Stay tuned,” Melania teased.
Now, with Barron a recent high school graduate and on his way to college, Melania appears to be shifting her focus to helping her husband win back the Presidency.
According to a report from The New York Post, the former First Lady stole the show at a Trump campaign fundraiser hosted by billionaire investor John Paulson.
“Melania Trump emerged as the main star at the Republican fund-raiser at John Paulson’s $100 million house in Palm Beach,” The Post’s Page Six reported.
The Trump fundraiser ultimately pulled in over $50 million, setting a new record for the most money ever raised in a single night by a Presidential candidate just weeks after President Joe Biden initially set a new record with a $25 million haul in New York City.
And based on The New York Post’s reporting on the fundraiser, Melania deserves at least some of the credit for the event’s success as she apparently made it clear through the work she put in that night that “she’s ready to be First Lady again.”
“The former First Lady, who usually appears quite serious in photographs, seemed to never stop smiling Saturday night and was charming and talkative to all the guests,” The Post reported. “She’s ready to be First Lady again and clearly enjoyed the evening.”
Most importantly for the Trump campaign, The New York Post reported that this is only the beginning of Melania’s efforts to help get her husband across the finish line.
“Melania enjoys being a hostess,” the report added. “She’s very supportive of her husband’s campaign and as we get closer to the final months, you can expect to see her more at key events.”
The Post had previously noted that Melania’s appearance at former First Lady Roslyn Carter’s funeral alongside every other living former First Lady left her “feeling more sure of herself — as both her husband’s representative and her own position as a diplomatic figure after her positive reception at the Carter funeral.”
That extra boost of confidence also reportedly helped the former First Lady realize she’s far better prepared for her role on her husband’s campaign and potential administration this time around.
“Melania realizes it’s her time to join the ranks of historic first ladies and leave her mark on history,” the report added. “She feels better prepared for her potential role the second time around.”
And with Donald Trump already leading in polls, there is nothing that should worry Democrats more than having a confident Melania Trump back on the campaign trail.
