Fani Willis cast Democrats’ attempts to convict Donald Trump in a political show trial in an unwanted shade.
Now she’s left the Democrat-led Biden administration with little choice.
And Joe Biden just tossed Fani Willis under the bus with this jaw-dropping reversal
Biden DOJ alleges layers of inconsistencies in Fani Willis’ office in purported clean up operation
President Joe Biden has seemingly made the call to abandon ship as the disgraced Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis blundered the key political show trial designed to aid his re-election.
The Justice Department has admitted that there are several layers of inconsistencies in Fani Willis’ office.
These irregularities revolved around the use, or rather misuse, of taxpayer money through her office, which was brought to light by The Washington Free Beacon.
The bombshell story was developed by a whistleblower who stepped up with some deeply troubling information.
The source claimed that Willis had fired her when she brought up that an aide had embezzled funds from a $488,000 federal grant, which was originally earmarked for the creation of a Center for Youth Empowerment and Gang Prevention set to be constructed in Atlanta.
She said that the aide had been misusing the funds for personal expenditures.
The Free Beacon followed up on their ground-shattering story with a report establishing that the Justice Department admitted that there were some serious discrepancies and that the money was just not adding up.
“During our review of the award to respond to this inquiry, we have noticed some inconsistencies in what Fulton County has reported to [the Federal Subaward Reporting System] and we are working with them to update their reporting accordingly,” said the Justice Department in a statement.
“The Justice Department did not provide any further details on the nature of Willis’s reporting ‘inconsistencies’ on the $488,000 federal grant, which was earmarked for the creation of a Center for Youth Empowerment and Gang Prevention in Atlanta,” continued the Free Beacon report. “The grant ended in September 2023, but the center never opened.”
Congressional involvement
The House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), has already issued subpoenas over documents regarding the allegations of misusing federal funding.
As one might imagine, Fani Willis has spent a considerable amount of energy working to stonewall Jordan’s investigation into these claims by the whistleblower.
“The Justice Department is coordinating with Willis’s office to fix the grant reporting ‘inconsistencies’ amid an ongoing House Judiciary Committee investigation into Willis’s use of federal grant funds,” added the Free Beacon. “Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) subpoenaed Willis in early February for records related to the $488,000 federal grant and the whistleblower allegations made by former Willis staffer Amanda Timpson, who was listed as the grant director until the district attorney abruptly fired her in January 2022.”
Fani Willis is still refusing to comply with the subpoenas from the committee, despite receiving a threat by Jordan to hold a vote to refer the Democrat District Attorney for prosecution for contempt of Congress.
“Jordan threatened to hold Willis in contempt of Congress on March 14 after the district attorney responded to his subpoena with a ‘narrow set of documents’ that had nothing to do with Timpson’s whistleblower allegations.”
“Willis wrote in response that Jordan’s demands were ‘unreasonable and uncustomary’ and suggested his investigation was an effort to derail her election interference case against former president Donald Trump,” the Free Beacon concluded.
As Willis barely survived the national controversy around her sex scandal which threatened her role in the case against Trump, she is finding herself in another one regarding corruption in her office.
Should her case against former President Donald Trump ever make it to trial, her conduct and behavior as a sitting District Attorney will be measured and inspected under everyone’s microscope.
