A Trump-endorsed candidate for governor just caught his socialist rival lying about her own record on abolishing the Senate.
Her campaign swore she never said it and Wisconsin voters got to watch the denial fall apart in real time.
The words she claims she never wrote are still sitting online for anyone to read.
The Socialist Frontrunner Wisconsin Republicans Are Running Against
Francesca Hong is the Democratic Socialists of America favorite running to become Wisconsin's next governor.
She is currently leading a crowded Democratic primary field by double digits with the August 11 vote closing in.
Tom Tiffany is the Trump-backed Republican congressman standing in her way, and he just handed her socialist record back to her.
DSA co-chair Megan Romer went viral this week openly confirming her movement wants the Senate, the borders, and the prisons gone.
When that confession went public, Tiffany pounced and tied Hong directly to the platform.
Tiffany accused Hong of wanting to abolish the police, the prisons, and the Senate itself, writing that "socialism is knocking on Wisconsin's door."
Hong's communications director Allison Geyer fired back hard and fast.
"Tom Tiffany is once again telling lies and inventing quotes," Geyer told Fox News Digital, insisting Hong never called for abolishing the Senate and challenging Tiffany to produce a single statement proving it.
That statement already existed in black and white.
The Tweet Geyer Forgot to Google
On February 13, 2021, the day the Senate acquitted President Trump in his second impeachment trial, Francesca Hong posted three words on X.
"Abolish the Senate."
Tiffany's campaign simply screenshotted it and handed it back to reporters.
Hong's team shifted from flat denial to sudden memory loss almost overnight, with her campaign telling Fox News she no longer recalled writing the post.
Geyer then tried a new angle, arguing that Hong's past support for abolishing police and prisons was only ever an aspirational goal she never intended to pursue as governor.
Geyer also tried to draw a distinction between the DSA as a membership organization and an actual political party, as if that changes what Hong herself typed and posted under her own name.
Wisconsin's political press corps had a golden opportunity to hammer a candidate caught fabricating her own record days before a primary.
Instead, local outlets largely let the story slide, prompting conservative commentators to accuse Wisconsin fact checkers of running interference for Hong.
This Is the Same Playbook Every DSA Candidate Runs
Wisconsin voters have seen this movie before, just with different socialist names attached.
Mamdani-backed New York candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier walked out of a live radio interview rather than answer for her own deleted posts.
Tennessee's Aftyn Behn spent a special election dodging questions about her old calls to defund the Nashville police department.
Even AOC herself distanced from the DSA's Senate-abolition platform once it started scaring off swing voters nationally.
The pattern is always identical, radical positions get posted proudly online and then get buried the moment a general election audience starts paying attention.
Hong followed the script almost word for word, from the online radicalism to the general-election memory loss.
The difference this time is that Tiffany had the receipts ready before her campaign finished typing the denial.
Tiffany Is Betting Wisconsin Remembers Who Told the Truth
Tiffany jumped into the governor's race promising to freeze property taxes and cut through Wisconsin's regulatory mess.
He does not need to invent a contrast with Hong, he just needs voters to see her own words.
A candidate who cannot be straight about a three-word tweet from 2021 is not going to level with Wisconsin about taxes, crime, or the budget in 2027.
Hong's campaign traded one lie for a worse one, first claiming the post never existed and then claiming she just forgot writing it.
Every Wisconsin voter who watched Geyer's story change twice in one week gets a preview of how a Hong administration would handle uncomfortable questions for four years.
Tiffany does not have to convince anyone that socialism is on the ballot in November, Hong already told them herself back in 2021.
